Open Hardware

BattleCore Tagger Mainboard
The main processing board for BattleCore taggers. Open hardware design with full schematics and documentation available.

BattleCore Headband Mainboard
Headband-mounted mainboard for body-worn hit detection. Connects up to 4 wired sensor modules around the headband with independent hit detection, powered by a 7.4V LiPo pack.

BattleCore Sensor Module
Wearable hit-detection module with 180-degree IR coverage and an addressable RGB indicator. Designed to pair with the BattleCore Headband Mainboard for independent hit detection around the head.

BattleCore Optics Module
Modular, self-regulating optics assembly for the BattleCore Tagger Mainboard. Houses the IR emitter and muzzle-flash LEDs as a single swappable unit.

Standalone Audio Board
Standalone, drop-in audio module for projects that need complex SD-card audio and tone playback. Controlled over UART with a simple Arduino-compatible library.
About Open Hardware
All BattleCore hardware is released under the BattleCore Community Hardware License. This means you can:
- ✓ Use the designs for personal projects
- ✓ Modify and improve the designs
- ✓ Operate a paid laser tag service using hardware clearly branded as BattleCore
- ✓ Share your modifications with the community under the same license
The license is copyleft: any modifications you publish or deploy must remain under the same license, and Irrelon Software Limited may request a copy. Selling the hardware, kits, or assembled units — or any product containing the hardware — is not permitted under this license and requires a separate commercial agreement. See the full license for details.
We believe in open innovation and community-driven development. Join our community to share your builds, get support, and contribute improvements!
