BattleCore Optics Module
The BattleCore Optics Module is the front-end emitter assembly for a BattleCore tagger. It carries 1x high-power IR emitter LED and 2x red LEDs for muzzle flash, packaged as a fully integrated, self-contained unit.
Because the module handles its own driving and current regulation, it can be swapped for variants with different output power, beam profiles, current requirements, or emitter types — including, in principle, an actual laser diode or other compatible emitter — without any changes to the Tagger Mainboard. The Tagger Mainboard treats the optics module as a black-box emitter, which keeps the optical front-end completely modular and lets you tune range, eye-safety profile, and visual effects independently of the rest of the system.

This hardware design is released under the BattleCore Community Hardware License.
You are free to:

- ✓ Operate a paid laser tag service using hardware clearly branded as BattleCore
- ✓ Share modifications with the community under the same license
This license is copyleft — modifications must remain under the same license and Irrelon Software Limited may request a copy.
